UW Medicine Information Security Policy requires that every IT system have a designated system owner and system operator. Policy also requires that every system owner and system operator attend specialized security training relevant to their role in the organization. Completion of the SOSO training class fulfills this requirement. Although the SOSO class focuses on the unique security responsibilities of system owners and operators, other interested individuals are welcome to attend.
SOSO Training is typically offered once a month and the location alternates between UWMC and HMC. If you would like a SOSO Training session offered at another location, please contact Brad Peda using the email at the bottom of this page.
There is a minimum registration requirement of 5 people for all SOSO sessions. If at least 5 people do not sign up then a cancellation notice will go out the day of the session. Please check your email prior to leaving for the session.
