Information security training and other security awareness activities are integral components of the UW Medicine Information Security Program. These efforts help ensure that all workforce members understand their information security responsibilities.
The UW Medicine Information Security Program is developing its educational component. It is likely that we will expand on the current course offerings. Technical training on topics such as security for system administrators, database security, secure programming practices, and firewall administration is being explored. We are also evaluating the needs for training in administrative areas such as risk assessment and contingency planning.
