The ISP is an enterprise-wide program accountable to the executive management of UW Medicine. The goal of the ISP is to ensure that measures are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information owned by or entrusted to UW Medicine, through protection of information systems and supporting processes. Applications, systems, and networks must be adequately designed, implemented, maintained, and monitored to provide information services that comply with all applicable laws and regulations while achieving business objectives.
The Security Team contributes to the ISP through development of policies and guidelines and by providing security training, asessment services, and security incident response. We also support centralized management systems for particular Windows host-based firewalls and small appliance firewalls.
If you have been involved with, witnessed, or have information about a security incident, call the IT Services Help Desk immediately at 206-543-7012. To find out more, read the policy.
